Gor Mahia coach Jose ‘Ze Maria’ Marcelo Ferreira has blamed poor gamemanish from Thika United during his sides KPL match.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Thika United.
According to the Brazilian tactician, Thika United resorted to wasting time.
“This was a poor strategy from Thika United. They resumed in the second half and decided to waste time from the first minute. We were stopping our watches with the stoppages and in the second half only 34 minutes were played. That is unacceptable and I think the referee should also have prevailed on them to stop it,” a disappointed Ze Maria stated.
The result halted Gor Mahia’s run, having won each of the previous three matches.
“We have to improve a lot from the performance in this game. Our attacking was not good and we also allowed the opponents more room,” he said.
