[Photo/AFP]Zimbabwe's opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has lauded a decision by Kenya's Supreme Court to nullify the August 8 presidential election.Chief Justice David Maraga alongside other Supreme court judges on Friday said President Uhuru Kenyatta was nat validly elected due to the irregularities and illegalities in the election process.Speaking on Saturday in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe at a rally organised by an alliance of opposition parties, Tsvangirai told thousands of supporters that Kenya's top court had made a "step towards democracy.""This is an unprecedented decision in the whole of Africa and I think it's a good step towards democracy," Tsvangirai said as quoted by Standard."If it happened in Kenya it can as well happen in Zimbabwe," he added.Tsvangirai has tried three attempts at the presidency, but has lost all of them to long-ruling President Robert Mugabe.He is the leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) in Zimbabwe.
