[Photo: Ali Hassan Joho]Kwale gubernatorial candidate Chirau Ali Mwakwere has expressed optimism that he unseat incumbent Salim Mvurya.The Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya candidate, who left his ambassador position given to him by the Jubilee government, in Tanzania, to join the Opposition, dismissed possibilities that Jubilee was popular in the county.This follows the defection of Mvurya from ODM, to the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party.Speaking during a Nasa rally in Ukunda show ground, Mwakwere who is popularly known as Zipapa, said Jubilee had no popularity in the county.He said he was sure Kwale residents would vote for him, adding that they needed development projects more than what Mvurya had done.Also present during the rally were Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his Deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho among others.
