Zoo Kericho registered their first win in the SportPesa Premier League, beating Ulinzi Stars 2-1 at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru County on Sunday.
Zoo drew first blood in the 15th minute, courtesy of Geoffrey Gichana before Ulinzi Stars restored parity in the 32 minute through Churchill Muloma.
Ulinzi had a chance to make it 2-1 when they were awarded a penalty at the death of the first half but Daniel Waweru hit the post despite sending Zoo’s custodian Vincent Misikhu the wrong way.
Zoo grabbed the winner in the 69th minute courtesy of Bernard Odhiambo.
Zoo are still rooted at the bottom of the league table with five points from eight matches.
Ulinzi are sixth with 12 points.
