ODM leader Raila Odinga left Kenya this morning to Mwanza, Tanzania where he will link up with Tanzanian President John Magufuli.
The two are scheduled to attend funeral service to Monica Joseph, a sister to Tanzania's fifth president.
"H.E. Raila Odinga has this morning traveled to Tanzania to attend the funeral of Monica Joseph Magufuli, sister to President John Magufuli. President Magufuli and the Odinga families are close friends.
"His Excellency has traveled to Mwanza accompanied by National Assembly Minority Whip Hon. Junet Mohammed. He is expected back in Nairobi on Wednesday," wrote Dennis Onyango, his spokesman.

Ms. Joseph, 63, died on Sunday in Mwanza after a long illness.
Raila enjoys close family ties with Magufuli with the latter attending the former's 2013 presidential campaigns.
In 2016, President Magufuli hosted Raila in his rural home in a tour that sparked vicious debate.
