Days after news of the death of former President Moi's son Jonathan hit the headlines, one serious 'rumour' has since emerged to haunt the family.
Allegations are now rife that the late Safari rally icon Jonathan Moi played a critical role in the murder of Ms Julie Ward. It is alleged that Jonathan murdered Ms Ward in cold blood before dumping her mutilated body in an animal park.
The Moi family is now having a hard time having to contend with the sad news of losing a loved one through pancreatic cancer as well as dealing with social media critics blaming Jonathan for killing a harmless Julie Ward in the year 1988.
Amid the grave allegations, the government maintained that Ms Ward died after being trampled upon by wildlife, absolving the late Jonathan from being held responsible for the alleged murder.
The family of the former president, however, remained mum on the allegations even as social media platforms go wild.
The late Julie Ward's lifeless body was discovered way back in September 1988, bringing her six months recreational trip in Kenya to a tragic finality.
Jonathan Moi succumbed to cancer on Saturday last week at a Nakuru hospital.
His family is yet to reveal more on burial plans.
