ODM Deputy Party Leader Ali Hassan Joho and the party's Minority Whip Junet Mohammed have hit back at Deputy President William Ruto, a day after he cautioned ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
While in Kisauni on Sunday, Ruto said Raila's entrance to the ruling Jubilee Party in which he (Ruto) is the deputy, is not welcomed.
Citing the March 9, Uhuru-Raila handshake, Ruto said Raila is plotting to wreck the party and divide its leaders ahead of 2022 general elections when he will be seeking to succeed Kenyatta.
According to Ruto, Odinga seeks to use the handshake to ensure he (Ruto) leaves Jubilee.

However, Joho who is also the Mombasa Governor alongside Junet, the Suna East MP dismissed Ruto's claims, and warned him against attacking Raila.
According to Junet, Ruto has a tendency of ditching political parties and could be seeking to ditch Jubilee and blame it on Odinga, the way he voluntarily ditched URP, UDM, KANU and ODM.
"Let him not start blame games when he has decided it’s time for him to leave because it is normal for him to leave parties. We are not chasing him from anywhere. He is running away from his shadow," said Junet on Monday.
Joho said Ruto should continue camping at the Coast awaiting the political tsunami that will soon be launched against him.
Ruto who wants to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022, has been invading the Coast which is perceived Joho's stronghold, and the entire country, something Joho said does not worry him.
"Do we need permission from anyone to address issues that affect our people? We are well organised and the machinery that will be unleashed against him will surprise him," Joho warned on Monday.
