The Coast region will continue supporting Opposition leader Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential bid.
This is according to Kwale Woman Representative Zuleikha Juma Hassan.
According to the ODM lawmaker, Coast leaders will support Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's presidential bid only if Odinga declares his support for him.
Joho has declared interest in the State House race through an ODM party ticket, in which Odinga is the leader.
Odinga who unsuccessfully vied in 2017, however, is yet to declare his bid for the country's top seat.
He was recently appointed the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa, following President Uhuru Kenyatta's rally.

Speaking on Sunday in Changamwe, Mombasa, Juma supported efforts to have a referendum but emphasised on the need to have all parts of the country sensitised about it.
She said no region should be excluded from referendum campaigns and sensitization, saying every Kenyan is a stakeholder whose input and vote matters.
The Kwale County MP also called on Kenyans to reject a proposal in the referendum, that could see the Woman Representative seat scrapped in efforts to save the country billions of shillings.

Juma said the seat protects women leadership and empowerment and gives them a voice at the national level.
