Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant and businessman Kiprop Bundotich Hezekiah popularly known as Buzeki is said to have ditched Deputy President William Ruto’s political camp for political neutrality.
Buzeki who lost to governor Jackson Mandago during the Jubilee party preliminaries in 2017 and later during the general elections has been enjoying a good political relationship with the man from Sugoi and his exit has since elicited mixed reactions.
In fact, his opponents had termed the business mogul DP Ruto's project in the hotly contested Uasin Gishu gubernatorial race.
There is no doubt that DP Ruto is enjoying maximum support from Uasin Gishu county residents and his 2022 presidential bid is more popular considering that he also hails from this county.
Buzeki who has been crisscrossing the county with an aim of wooing the residents ahead of the coming general elections is the one to lose if he will stick to his recent declaration.
The billionaire businessman will easily lose his political bid without the support of the self-proclaimed Rift Valley kingpin and should therefore be prepared to be defeated.
Buzeki is currently the front runner in the race to succeed Mandago who is serving for his last term and remaining loyal to Ruto would have played a major role in his rise to the county’s top seat.
