Former Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu, has been admitted to the College of Fellows of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Mwadeghu who was appointed as a member of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority board for three years three months ago by President Uhuru Kenyatta, now qualifies to use the designation FCPA, the highest award in accountancy profession in the country.

The former ODM minority whip in the National Assembly and Taita Taveta gubernatorial candidate was received admission alongside Joseph Zachary Buta, and Evans Mulera, as ICPAK celebrated its 40 years of existence.

ICPAK chairman Julius Mwatu appreciated the three for the role each one of them played in growing the Institute.

 "We cherish and enjoy the rich legacy bestowed upon us by our selfless founding fathers whose actions and dedication gave ICPAK a strong foundation and like in the shoulders of giants we now stand," he said on Saturday.

Mwatu also awarded former chairs with certificates of appreciation.
