Moiben MP Silas Tiren and his Nandi Hills counterpart MP Alfred Keter have come to the rescue of Tiaty residents win Baringo.
The two MPs toured Tiaty on Sunday where they donated foodstuff.
According to Tiren, the country should come up with a long-lasting solution to curb the never-ending nightmare of drought.
Several deaths have been reported in this part of the county as a result of the ravaging drought.
"With the drought that has ravaged this country, many families are going without food with cases of lives sadly being lost," said the MP in a post on his official Facebook page.
He added: "As a country, we must have a long term solution to famine, reform our Agricultural sector to ensure that we produce enough to feed ourselves."
Several deaths were earlier reported in Tiaty by Kosistei sub-location chief, Jack Ronei but the government dismissed that they were caused by famine.
“It’s true we have not lost any life due to the drought situation. The chief purporting to report on the drought situation was fired a long time ago. The CC Baringo has confirmed that no deaths have occasioned by current drought situation.” said Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang'i.
