Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has laughed at those against his political alliance with Deputy President William Ruto.
On Wednesday, Khalwale told off those who have been ridiculing and branding him as Ruto's house help (Sugoi dish washer), and accusing him of betraying his Luhya community by supporting the Jubilee deputy party leader.
In a tweet, the former Ford-Kenya deputy party leader said he was proud his union with the DP has grown into a 'national hustler movement' amid great opposition from his political detractors.
"They thought and wished that it could be a simple case worthy of dismissal with; Sugoi dish washer, Turncoat, Luhyia sell out, Ruto boot licker etc, etc.. But alas, and we thank you Lord. It has blossomed into a national hustler movement!" he posted.
Khalwale has been on the receiving end from a section of political leaders from his Western Kenya backyard since 2018 when he threw his weight behind Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
The leaders, led by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, have gone to an extent of 'cursing' the former Senator.
“There is Boni Khalwale, and he will never be anything. His mother sold chang’aa to raise him in hopes that he would help the family but now he isn’t and I ask God that he remains a beggar,” Atwoli said.
Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and Lugari MP Ayub Savula have also taken a swipe at Khalwale.
"A whole Doctor of Medicine has become a beggar. Always begging at the home of DP in Sugoi. He has become a house help at William Ruto's home. Boni, you are shaming the people of Mulembe nation," Malala fired.
