Deputy President William Ruto is on Wednesday, December 19, expected in Kilifi County, a day after his trip to Lamu County.
Lamu East MP Sharif Athman said Ruto would visit his constituency and open Pate Girl's High School.
The DP who is seeking support of the Coastal region in his 2022 presidential bid, is expected to attend the burial ceremony of slain former Kilifi Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto.

The funeral service of the deceased will be held at Lugwe Primary School in Rabai before being laid to rest at his Bejana farm.

Several Coast leaders including Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi who was Kamto's boss during his first term in office, is expected at the funeral service.
Cases of insecurity and development matters are expected to take centre stage during the service, not forgetting politics since the late Kamto was an ODM politician before decamping to Ruto's Jubilee Party ahead of August 2017 general elections.

He deputised former Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro in their bid to unseat Kingi.
In September, Ruto toured Tana River, Kilifi, Kwale, Mombasa and Taita Taveta counties.This will be his third tour of the Coast region in three months.
On Monday, December 17, Ruto was hosted by Vihiga Governor Wilberforce Otichilo together with the leadership of Emuhaya Sub-county led by area MP Omboko Milemba, where they launched several development projects within the region.
