Deputy President William Ruto is steadily edging towards the peak of his blossoming career. As the situation could be at the moment, he is among the few individuals most battling to succeed Uhuru in 2022.
However, his bid is facing opposition from different quarters, a thing that could see him lose the bid. Should he fail to take over from his boss, DP Ruto should blame these categories of people;
1. State House operatives
It is emerging that some State House operatives are working round the clock to block Ruto from succeeding Uhuru as he retires in 2022. These individuals have reportedly frustrated the DP's countrywide tours, a thing that has been tied to 2022 succession politics.
2. The handshake team
It is crystal clear that the handshake between Uhuru and Raila Odinga has become a thorn in the flesh. Close allies of Ruto in team Tanga Tanga have been claiming malice in the deal, alleging that the latter was out to ruin Jubilee politics ahead of 2022.
3. Team Kieleweka
This outfit in the Jubilee party, led by former party's vice chairperson David Murathe is on record rivalling Ruto's State House ambition. The team has been faulting Ruto's weekend trips and even Sunday church donations. Furthermore, the outfit claims it owes the deputy president no debt in 2022, a thing that could be detrimental to his succession plan.
