Kisii-based politician Don Bosco Gichana has attacked Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni following the detention of Ugandan musician-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
The Ugandan opposition MP was arrested for allegedly staging illegal protests at the country's capital, Kampala, in 2018.
Bobi Wine was arrested last week while heading to a press conference where he was expected to address various issues including poor leadership and police brutality.
Don Bosco took to his Facebook page on Wednesday where he hurled insults at Museveni and called for the immediate release of Bobi Wine.
He further argued that Bobi Wine does not deserve to be in prison, adding that Museveni should be the in jail.
The Ugandan politician on Wednesday thanked people from around the world for standing in solidarity with his country.
The 37-year-old politician was today (Thursday) released on a Sh27,000 bail after he was charged with disobedience of statutory duty.
