Chief Administrative Secretary for Youth Affairs Rachael Shebesh is leading over 25 MPs to Mt Kenya region where they will grace a series of events.
The MPs mainly women under Embrace Kenya umbrella, supports handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In their Twitter handle, the team said: "As we take #EmbraceMashinani todays its #EmbraceInMuranga."
But the presence of Shebesh in the team could lead to heated political debate given her role in government. Ministers, CASs and Principal Secretaries are not allowed to grace political events.
On Tuesday, Shebesh, a former Nairobi Women Representative, held talks with Mr Odinga at his Capitol Hill offices. Incidentally, he had backed Mr Odinga's presidential ambitions in April.
"I want to take you without fear or favour Your Excellency. Our people from Mt Kenya, a Jubilee stronghold, are with you," Shebesh said in a past event.
"Some people are our misleading people that Mt Kenya people don't want handshake. Those are people who make money by speaking. Let them continue with their business. Just come to Kiambu, Nyeri or Murang'a grassroots. People call you Njamba, because you've given us peace."
Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege will host the team in various functions. Although she initially used to support DP William Ruto, she has slowly drifted away.
Others in the team include vocal Woman Representatives Gladys Wanga, Fatuma Gedi, MPs Mishi Mboko, Lilian Gogo among others. The team usually wears white clothes to foster peace in the country.
