It is a fact that no good deed ever goes unrecognized or unappreciated. This is a reality for the Garissa-born health volunteer Rahma Binti Guliye who has dedicated all her time and wealth in helping the less fortunate in the society.
Barely a month ago when Hivisasa did a story of Fatuma Yasmin, a Mandera street woman crying out to be reunited with family after 11 years in the streets, Binti Guliye swung into action and picked the said woman from the streets of Nairobi.
As if this was not enough, she took the lady to a Nairobi hospital for specialized examination and later on medication.
However, another act of her concern for humanity has captured the attention of the top county leadership.
In her quest to help Baby Nasra who is suffering from a complex heart condition, Majority leader Aden Duale has come out to recognize her as a philanthropic woman. Together with another lady by the name Saada Ogle, Duale described the duo as being 'inspirational'.
"Saada Ogle and Rahma Binti Guliye are inspirational and Philanthropic women who do a lot of work towards community service and help the disadvantaged in the society. They are currently raising funds for Baby Nasra with a serious heart condition," The Garissa Township MP recognized the duo.
Going by her interest in charity work, it could be argued that Binti Guliye is the latest superwoman without limits in the land.
