Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi is expected to host President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday (today) as he will be opening a revamped textile company in Eldoret town, Rivatex.
All eyes will be on Sudi due to his recent public spats with Uhuru on several issues among them the graft purge which had been linked to 2022 politics.
However, the MP will have to shun politics if given an opportunity to speak during the event because of these two reasons;
To avoid politicizing development project
Sudi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto should avoid politicking because it will 'mess' up the development event and turn it into a political issue.
Revamped Rivatex will be of a positive impact to Uasin Gishu local due to the fact that it will create job opportunities and keeping off political issues will another way of inviting the president to launch many more development projects in the area.
Jubilee party unity
Sudi is known of being a fierce defender of DP Ruto and with the event coming at the backdrop of cracks in the Jubilee party, the MP will have to steer away from politics to show that the party is still intact.
Uhuru who is also the Jubilee party leader has made it clear that it's not yet time for politics and to show that members of the ruling party are reading from the same script, the Kapseret MP will have to keep off politics, at least during this function.
Ahead of the Head of State's visit, there were fears that Sudi might be blocked from speaking during the event by State House Operatives, reports that the vocal MP later dismissed.
"I want to categorically refute claims on one of the dailies that I will not be allowed to speak, those are mere rumours meant to incite the public and residents should ignore that," he told the press at Rivatex.
