The stabbing to death of Moi University student, Felix Oduor, two weeks ago sent shock waves not just across the institution but across the nation.

Oduor was allegedly stabbed severally after an altercation with other students after a night of merry-making.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his brutal killing.

A peak into the slain student's Facebook account paints the picture of a person who loved life and was very social.

Those who knew him say he made friends effortlessly.

"Felix knew how to make friends. He made friends everywhere he went. I met him the first time and we clicked right away," Brian Kiplimo said.

Felix loved modeling and never shied away from walking on the runway during cultural events at Moi University. He also loved fashion, a love which found expression in the clothes he wore.

Football was also his passion as he was a staunch supporter of Manchester United, an English Premier League (EPL) team.

In the weeks leading up to his death, he played for a class team and would show up for training sessions with the team.

His team mates have hailed his footballing prowess and leadership on the field.

"Felix played in our team and was a great team player. Every time he played, you could feel his presence on the field. We lost a great player," Anthony Waluke said.

He was also involved in student politics. Felix was always part of the political activities on campus.

At one of the campus gyms, he was a constant presence, a testament to his love for body-building and working out.

The fourth-year student was laid to rest on Saturday in a sombre ceremony attended by Moi University students.
