Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori were recommended for expulsion from the party over association with the DP over 2022 politics.
They however, denied the claims saying they support Ruto in the spirit of building bridges initiative that was started by their party leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Tuesday, Jumwa demanded to be told by Odinga, reasons why his party does not want any other leader to be associated with Jubilee Party in the spirit of handshake and the country's unity.
According to her, the handshake must be genuine and should not be used to benefit only a few.
"Mimi hii handshake yanitatiza. Natatizika ndugu zangu. My party leader Mheshimiwa Odinga alifanya handshake na Mheshimiwa Uhuru Kenyatta. Lakini Jumwa akifanya handshake na Mheshimiwa William Ruto, anaambiwa amesaliti chama na awe expelled. Kwani Ruto ni mtanzania? Huyu siyo mkenya huyu? Lazima tuwe genuine. Handishake lazima iwe genuine," she said.
Jumwa who spoke angrily, reiterated her support for Ruto, saying she will stand her ground with Ruto regardless of the outcome.

"Let us all be genuine in matters of politics in serving our people at the same time strive in delivering the promises to our electorates. As a country, we need to be united and foster peaceful co-existence among Kenyans in order to deliver the Big Four under the Jubilee Government as emphasised by my party leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. Otherwise handshake must be genuine," she said.
