A top aide to ODM leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that the veteran leader is behind the current tribulations facing lawyer Miguna Miguna.
The fiery lawyer has been blocked from travelling to the country and spent the last two days stranded in European airports.
But Silas Jakakimba, the private secretary to Mr Odinga, says the ODM leader does not support Miguna's woes.
"@Disembe :’Many ppl would rather now pretend that somehow the problems facing Miguna are new, caused by&supported by @RailaOdinga &ODM. Listen, WE are not. And I got news for you: ODM has maintained since this fiasco begun that Miguna is a CITIZEN. Damn, it proved it in court," he said in a tweet, Thursday.
When Miguna Miguna travelled to Kenya in March 2018, Odinga was among those at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive him.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Wednesday claimed that Mr Odinga is the face behind Miguna Miguna's tribulations.
"When President was talking of allowing Miguna during the burial of (late and former mayor Charles) Rubia, he meant every word of it, but I have information that the person who is behind Miguna's tribulations is Raila Odinga," Kuria said, according to the Star.
