Kenyans on social media have congratulated Kenyan born journalist Larry Madow shortly after he announced he was taking a break from BBC.
Larry Madowo who has been working for the British media company as the Business editor for BBC Africa since April 2018, will be taking a break to after he was invited to be part of The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Business and Economics at the Columbia Journalism School.
The netizens applauded the former NTV news anchor for his consistent hard work despite facing challenges while starting his career.
Larry Madowo during a past interview revealed that he was at one point forced to drop out of school due to lack of school fees.
The Daystar graduate was also praised for creating job opportunities for upcoming youngsters in the journalism field. On Friday through his Facebook account, Larry Madowo revealed that he had hired 30 people in 5 different countries.
A section of the Kenyans on Twitter also commended Larry Madowo for acting as a good example and role model for upcoming journalists.
