On Monday, the Star quoted Ruto's allies claiming the DP will go for the PM job should the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report recommend creation of parliamentary system of governance.

Kisiang'ani termed the reports as 'inaccurate and outrageous' saying Ruto should never go for the post since he has what it takes to become executive President in a presidential system.

"There was this newspaper headline today that "Ruto ready for PM job: Allies". This is outrageous and inaccurate. I think DP Ruto has enough voters to make him executive President of Kenya. He does not need the backroom conspiracy of MPS to help him assume executive power as PM," he posted on Monday night.

The university lecturer said parliamentary system was being pushed by politicians who are aware they cannot marshal countrywide support to win the presidency.

"To be fair, only people who can't persuade the popular electorate to vote for them would advocate for a parliamentary system of government that fraudulently bestows executive power to some fellow you call PM!" he tweeted.

In a parliamentary system, the PM is the leader of the party with the majority in the National Assembly.

On Monday, political analyst Prof Herman Manyora advised the DP to take the PM  job should it be available in 2022.

"BBI and handshake will succeed, those who oppose will be crashed by. It will be very wise for DP Ruto to eye the Prime Minister post," Manyora said on Monday while urging the DP not to oppose the BBI report.
