Kenyan musician Esther Akoth famously known as Akothee has been nominated for the prestigious African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that will take place on October 26 and 27 in Dallas, Texas.
Akothee has been nominated in the category of Best Female Artist in East Africa.
She will be facing off against Fena Gitu and Victoria Kimani in the same category.
The 'Sweet love' hitmaker took to her Instagram page on Saturday where she urged her followers to vote for her.
"Choose your artists voting is free your artists your choice 💃💃 click on the link below 👇👇 you will find many artists then choose Akothee if you wish," Akothee wrote on Instagram.
This will however not be the first time that Akothee has been nominated for the AFRIMMA awards.
In 2016, she was voted as the Best Female Artist in East Africa.
Akothee is however not the only Kenyan on the nomination list.
