Kenyatta University students are expected back to the school beginning on Tuesday, October 22.

The institution was closed early this month after the students went on a rampage. 

According to Citizen Digital, the re-opening dates and resumption of lectures have been scheduled as per the different courses. 

The Engineering and Technology, Medicine,  Pharmacy, Public Health, Nursing, Applied Human Sciences, Architecture and Built Environment students are expected to report on Monday, October 21 as their lectures are set to begin on Tuesday. 

Students that take Business, Agriculture and Enterprise Development, Creative and Performing Arts, Tourism, Leisure Studies, Security, Hospitality, Diplomacy and Peace Studies,  Economics, Environmental Studies,  Film, and Media will report on Tuesday.  

Classes will resume on Wednesday.

All the students will be required to pay a fine of Sh500 for the damages that occurred during the strike. 

The students rioted while accusing the administration for various injustices including charging of Sh2,500 for supplementary exams, the early deadline for fees payment and the forceful use of flyover while going to Nyayo Hostels.

Kenyatta University student leader Joshua Ayika led the rioting of the students where one of their demand was the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor Prof Paul Wainaina.
