Mucheru contended that his meeting with other Central Kenya leaders was being politicised.

"Like yesterday, we met Nyanza leaders. No one has said a word about us meeting Nyanza leaders but if we meet Mount Kenya leaders there seems to be a lot of issues. So that's politics, us we are business people, tumepatiwa kazi na rais and we are doing it. So I don't feel anything, I am doing the work I am supposed to do and I have seen most of my colleagues that's exactly the same: Everybody gets on with their work, " the CS said in a YouTube video shared by Citizen TV. (Video 1:02-1:28)
