Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has finally given his views concerning the recent arrest and impending prosecution of Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Arati expressed his sympathy to the flamboyant governor over the tribulations he was going through.
However, the vocal ODM legislator reminded Sonko of how he tried to thwart a National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition rally that was to be held in Nairobi in 2017.
Arati recounted how Sonko poured human waste on Jacaranda grounds to prevent NASA leaders from addressing their supporters.
"I sometimes sympathize with my brother @Mike sonko but then I remember how the chap frustrated us by pouring human waste on Jacaranda grounds to stop us from addressing NASA supporters," noted Arati.
On November 29, 2017, after the repeat presidential elections, unknown people dumped raw sewage and garbage at Jacaranda grounds on the eve of a rally planned by the opposition politicians.
Security officers were also deployed to Mann the scene, a move which raised eyebrows amongst the members of the public who suspected that the act might have been planned to settle some political goals.
On Friday, Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko was dramatically arrested in connection with corruption and loss of funds in Nairobi county government.
