Kipkorir said it was obvious the Senate will uphold Waititu's impeachment by Kiambu Members of County Assembly (MCAs), when his charges are tabled on the floor of the House on Tuesday.

The merits and demerits of the governor's ouster will be debated by the whole plenary after efforts by Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen to create a committee of 11 members to look into the case was rejected by his colleagues.

Kipkorir said he was sympathizing with the county boss since he will have no where to run to, not even courts, once his impeachment is upheld by the Senate.

"I truly sympathize with Ferdinand Waititu .... After being impeached in Kiambu, Senate is the next to decide whether he goes home or not and is final ... It’s a process the Court can’t review," he tweeted on Monday.

Waititu's impeachment motion will be tabled after Murkomen collected signatures from 15 senators and petitioned Speaker Kenneth Lusaka to summon a special sitting to consider the issue.

Kipkorir claimed the Majority Leader's move to petition the Speaker was a plan to save the embattled county boss, but said it was doomed to fail, since the pro-handshake senators will vote for his ouster.

"Thinking they had the numbers, TangaTanga rushed the process to save him, but it backfired spectacularly ... Tomorrow(Tuesday) Jubilee Kieleweke and NASA Senators will send Waititu home ... Excitement isn’t substitute for strategic thinking ... Waititu ought to blame his allies for rushing him to slaughter!" the flamboyant lawyer tweeted.

Jubilee Senator Irungu Kang'ata (Murang'a) has asked his colleagues to support the war on corruption by ensuring Waititu, who is facing multi-million graft case, is sent home.

"Our counties have been looted left, right and center. Atleast one chief executive of a county needs to go home to send the right message. Senate needs to support HE efforts of fighting corruption. Tomorrow(Tuesday) at the Senate's proceedings for Kiambu County- may be this is it!" Kang'ata said.

Waititu, who is serving his first term, will only be impeached if 24 of the 47 counties vote to support the petition by Kiambu MCAs to oust him.
