Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has blasted veteran media personality Tony Gachoka after he claimed Deputy President William Ruto will never win the presidency.
In a tweet on Friday, Gachoka mocked the DP saying he will never occupy State House after Jubilee Party candidate McDonald Mariga failed in his bid for Kibra parliamentary seat.
KTN's Point Blank Show host said Ruto will fail terribly despite the support of his allies from Mt Kenya such as Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and MPs; Kimani Ichung'wa (Kikuyu) and his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro.
"With shock, disbelief and defeat the hustler Nation wakes up this morning to a different Kenya. Second we will pass BBI with the same smoothness and bang! William Ruto will never be President and his Mt Kenya team of Ichungwa, Waititu & Nyoro are now shamed," Gachoka posted.
However, the remarks did not auger well with Wahome who hit out at the TV host and branded him a 'political dwarf'.
"Take alcohol and sleep. (Kunywa pombe ulale). Political failure and dwarf," tweeted the second-time legislator.
Wahome is the chairperson of Inua Mama Jenga Taifa women group which has been crisscrossing the country drumming up support for Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
She has repeatedly said Mt Kenya region will rally behind the DP in the next polls amid reports the populous region will back ODM leader Raila Odinga following his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We haven’t crossed over and we haven’t changed our minds. We keep promises," Wahome said recently.
