Popular TV presenter and political activist Tony Gachoka was on Thursday presented at the Kwale Law Courts where he was charged with causing nuisance at the Diani airstrip.
The TV presenter who hosts the Pointblank show on KTN also faced an additional charge of being intoxicated at the airstrip.
Gachoka was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly refused to go through a security checkpoint, and insisted to board the plane with alcoholic drinks.
Reports on Citizen Digital indicate Gachoka denied the charges against him when he appeared before Principal Magistrate Joe Omido.
He was consequently released on a cash bail of Sh50,000.
The case will resume on October 25, 2019.
His arrest on Wednesday attracted a lot of attention from Kenyans on social media.
He is, however, yet to issue an official statement explaining his side of the story.
Gachoka is one of the most experienced media personalities in the country. His Pointblank show is one of the most followed political talk shows in the country at the moment.
