Safaricom has moved swiftly and unveiled data bundles, Short Message Services (SMS) and calls with no expiry date limitation.
Just after a day of being sued for imposing an expiry date on their products, specifically data bundles, it seems Safaricom was moved by by the law suit.
On Wednesday, the company unveiled new packages which allow subscribers to choose between limited and not limited packages.
To access data bundles, calls and SMS with no expiry date limitations, subscribers are being asked to dial *544#
"Data Bundles (N0 EXPIRY DATE).
"Calls & SMS (N0 EXPIRY DATE)," read a pop up message when you dial the given figures above.
Safaricom Chief Executive Officer Michael Joseph said the company is focusing on being transparent and honest to its customers.
“Over the last 19 years, we have come a long way together with our customers. As we celebrate our anniversary, it is a unique opportunity to reevaluate our operations to ensure that we remain relevant to our customers into the future. Today, we are starting afresh and going forward we aim to be even more simple, transparent and honest in everything that we do,” said Michael Joseph.
On Tuesday, lawyer Adrian Kamotho went to court and sued mobile service providers for depriving their subscribers of unused data.
