Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Issack Hassan's daughter was among top performers in Kenya Certificate for Primary Education (KCPE) exams.
Zeitun Ahmed managed to score 408 marks in a test which the top candidate scored 440 marks.
Hassan congratulated his daughter for the results.

Hassan left IEBC in 2016 following demonstrations by ODM supporters across the country. He was replaced by Wafula Chebukati in 2017.
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha on Monday released the results, just 17 days after learners finished their last paper.
Magoha said all candidates will know the secondary school they will be joining in early December. He said all learners will secure admission to secondary schools.
The CS also said the selection will be fair, transparent and fast.
"Parents will have enough time to prepare their children for highschool re-entry. They won't spend all the money on food during Christmas," he said as quoted by the Star.
