Kieni Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Kanini Kega has pointed that President Uhuru Kenyatta should be respected by honouring his directive which he has severally warned against immersing into early 2022 political campaigns.
Speaking on Saturday at Chaka market in Kieni Constituency, Nyeri County, Kega asserted that there are some legislators who are insulting the President adding that they shall not be entertained starting in his own county.
“We are no longer going to entertain that behaviour here in Nyeri. You have seen they have even been coming to insult us here. We shall not allow that,” Kega said.
Extending that the respect for President is not negotiable.
“I want to say it in no uncertain terms that the respect for the President is not negotiable. He will have to be respected," he posed
Other leaders present were Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu, Nyeri nominated MCA Julia Wanjiku, Murang’ a County Senator Irungu Kang’ata and Murang’ a Woman Representative Sabina Chege who asserted they will no longer crouch around and gaze at the MPs humiliate the President.
