Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has said that Anglican Churches are ready to support the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI).
BBI was realized after 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime minister Raila Odinga with an intention to bring peace in Kenya.
Speaking at All saint Cathedral Church in Nairobi, on Monday, Ole Sapit said that the church is very much ready in ensuring execution of the BBI report.
The ACK leader also said that he fully supports President Uhuru's push for the BBI taskforce and that it will help heal the nation from the past wounds.
"As a church, we commit to playing our part in fathering the aspirations of the BBI towards a tangible outcome and as aspired by the report," said Ol Sapit as quoted by the Star.
He further urged Kenyans to go through the BBI report and digest everything so as to know what is entailed inside in giving a lasting solution to the nation.
"The BBI identifies current critical issues that we must openly discuss to ensure deeper connections and cohesion. We need more statesmanship and less politics," he said.
Ole Sapit also termed the BBI as a worthy cause that will help build a new nation and unfold opportunities for sincere national discussions and conversations of what has always bedevilled the country.
