Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz was on Friday afternoon received warmly when he landed in Free Town, Sierra Leone.
Diamond was received by a group fans who were singing the viral 'Tetema' song and they stole the moment to get a selfie.
He will be spending his weekend in Sierra Leone where he is scheduled to perform in various functions.
Through a number of videos he has shared on his social media pages, Diamond has said his fans across the world are very loyal to him.
"I appreciate the love I receive everywhere i Go🙏🏼....Trust! me My Fans are too Loyal, and I love them to Death...Thank you SIERA LEONE🇸🇱 I LOVE YOU MORE❤❤...@rayvanny #Tetema☝🏼," read a caption to one of the videos he shared.
It is clear 'Tetema' song went viral across the continent.
The song's idea was brought up by Wasafi Records' singer Rayavnny and producer S2kizzy before they involved Diamond.
At some point, the song was like a national anthem, with most media houses in the country playing it at least once in a day.
However, the song later raised concerns over its lyrics before Kenya Films and Clarification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua declared it 'dirty' and that it should be strictly played in clubs.
Here is the video showing how Diamond was received.
