In a tweet Tuesday, the first term lawmaker made it clear that the former Prime Minister doesn't need to be sold in any part of the country, especially by political novices.

In an apparently shot at Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, he cautioned youthful politicians against engaging in cheap politicking, terming it disadvantageous to the Kenyan democracy.

He advised youthful politicians to seek mentorship from the nation's political fathers to avoid landing the nation into a political disaster.

"Raila Odinga does not need political novices to sell him anywhere in this country. Politics of cheap coins is disastrous to our democracy. Young politicians need to go for mentoring from our political fathers in place of material democracy," he said.

This comes hours after Nyoro, in an interview on Citizen TV, reiterated his initial claims that he has been under pressure to sell Raila in the vote-rich Mt Kenya region ahead of the 2022 polls.

He first made the remarks on Monday, hours to his arrest, claiming that he has been receiving calls to sell Raila in Mt Kenya, which he said that he cannot do even with s gun to his head.

"I cannot sell Raila in Murang'a by force, deal with the constituents,” he said.

Raila has never enjoyed any meaningful support from the Central Kenya region in his 4 presidential bids, with the region instead providing his rivals who proceed to beat him.
