Renowned city lawyer and political analyst Steve Ogolla has accused Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho for being too hard on Deputy President William Ruto.
Ogolla who took the message to his Twitter handle on Sunday urged PS Kibicho to resign if he wants to venture in politics.
He further argued that DP Ruto played a big role in forming the government that he is now serving.
''IT'S UNFAIR to have PS Karanja Kibicho attack DP Ruto. If PS Karanja wants to descend into the arena of politics, let him resign. Ruto may have fallen out with Uhuru, but he's partly responsible for Jubilee's election and 10-year-grip on power, to whom PS Karanja is a beneficiary,'' tweeted Ogolla.
PS Kibicho has been accused by DP Ruto's allies for frustrating the latter's 2022 presidential bid.
DP Ruto in May 2019 reportedly had an altercation with PS Kibicho at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he 'warned' him against frustrating his (DP Ruto) State House job ambitions.
PS Kibicho was also accused to have taken part in the La Mada hotel meeting that allegedly plotted against DP Ruto but he (Mr Kibicho) rubbished the claims as baseless and lacked facts.
''I would be very reserved in responding to useless and baseless allegations because they're under police investigations. We are really credited with some intelligence; we have some brains better than what we are hearing. It’s unfortunate that our country can occupy space and space of our media talking about imaginations," he said as quoted by Standard.
