Taking the message to his Facebook account on Sunday, the vocal legislator from Mt Kenya accused Duale of trying to look as if he is supporting the parliamentary system so that he enrages lawmakers hailing from Mt Kenya.

''He knows that by purporting to support a parliamentary system he infuriates Mt Kenya to the core. And that is how Duale and his master will defeat any change by deploying scarecrows,'' read part of Kuria's post.

He also alleged that the Garissa Township MP is using his status so as to position himself to be comptroller of State House in 2022.

Kuria further dared Duale to resign as the Leader of Majority and a fresh contest declared.

''I challenge you to an open contest through a fresh election of the Leader of Majority. Bring it on, Man. I will beat you hands down. You are Leader of Majority courtesy of Mt Kenya vote,'' noted the MP.

Kuria's sentiments come after Duale through a post on his social media account said that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) should recommend a constitutional change from a pure presidential system to a pure parliamentary system.

"The electoral contest should be at the constituency level and not at Bomas of Kenya and Supreme Court" read part of his tweet.
