Hooves, intestines and other parts of the cows were found scattered in a bush.

Patrick Maundu, the owner of the three bulls told Hivisasa that he woke up at around 4 pm and found his cows gone.

He said that he and his family started looking for the cows only to find their carcasses in a bush.

"It was around 4 am when I woke up and found my bulls gone. I woke everybody up and started searching immediately. At around 7 am, we found the carcasses near the gate of Nimrod High School," said Maundu.

He said that the bulls were singled out of the shed from twelve others.

Maudu lamented that he is pained by the fact that his bulls are no more yet he did not sell them to school his children but he lost them to criminals.

"They were very big and fat. Yes, there remained other twelve cows. We need action. We are tired of stock theft in our area. No suspect has been arrested so far yet the theft hasn't stopped we are tired and need to see the security agencies taking their work seriously," he said on phone.

Matungulu Assistant Country Commissioner Gerald Omoke said that as security agents, they will intensify patrols in the area.

However he said that the residents too need to ensure they put measures that will secure their livestock.

"We want to Intensify patrols and foster intelligence sharing. The stock owners also need to put in place measures to secure their animals," said Omoke on phone.

This incident comes just three weeks after five cows were stolen and found slaughtered in the same area by unknown people.
