Kikuyu musician popularly known as Muigai wa Njoroge has refuted assertions that he has been financed by Deputy President William Ruto in his newly released song 'Tukunia', signifying sacks.
Muigai on Monday defended himself asserting that no politician can sustain his pocket so he can endorse him.
“I have been in the industry for over a decade, and singing songs with messages concerning politics in this country is part of my call,” he announced as reported by the Star.
Muigai too added that a number of politicians have confronted him, extending that many are applauding him for revealing the truth while a few are criticizing him.
“Those criticising me are the ones I am calling sacks because they have not been able to send the message to the President because they are not working and my opinion is I want them fired from their posts," Muigai posed.
In his song "Tukunia" Muigai has informed President Uhuru Kenyata that ditching his deputy, William Ruto is like aborting a seven-month incubation which he termed as perilous and might transpire to the demise of the mother.
“It is my opinion and it is clear that the President has forgotten the struggles they have had with William Ruto and everyone can see the division,” he said,
Muigai too extends that it would be simpler to toss out Orange Democratic Party leader Raila Odinga, correlating the handshake with a three-month incubation that was almost to slay the mother.
