Machachari actor Tyler Kamau Mbaya popularly known as Baha has reacted following the cancellation of the show which aired on Citizen TV every Friday at 7.30pm.
Baha on Tuesday engaged his Instagram fans in a question and answer session, where one of his fans asked how he felt about the cancellation of the show.
In his response, Baha said it was not easy to take the news, but noted that he is celebrating that he had an opportunity to feature in the show.
"To be honest it hurts (inauma). Lakini we shouldn’t be sad because it’s over…but celebrate juu ilihappen," said Baha.
This comes after Royal Media Services Production Manager Stanley Ngige on Monday noted that the programme was cancelled following massive criticism from the public concerning the age of the actors.
Ngige noted that the Machachari cast had outgrown the show, considering the majority of them had hit the legal age in Kenya yet the show targeted teens.
"We started with Baha's crew, they are now seniors. We needed to create a room to have a new show just the way we began Machachari 13 years ago. It comes to an end this Friday conclusively," said Ngige.
Machachari will be replaced by the Johari show.
