Taita Taveta Assembly speaker was on Friday barred from submitting Governor Granton Samboja's impeachment recommendations to the Senate.
Justice James Makau issued conservatory orders that would effectively mean that Samboja's impeachment would take a longer route than expected.
The first term governor is set to file a case in the High Court challenging his ouster thus the decision to go to the court for conservatory orders.
Early this week, MCAs kicked out Samboja over gross misconduct after months of wrangles that saw the governor seek intervention from President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
Samboja had started a process of collecting signatures for dissolution of the county after refusing to allocate Sh800 million to the wards as Ward Development Funds.
County Director of Communications Dennis Onsarigo said the governor is ready to walk the road of impeachment to the very end.
“The road to impeaching a governor is long and winding, it is the one that Samboja is willing to take to the end," he said.
He said it was clear from the beginning that MCAs were not interested in solving the standoff.
"They are only interested in getting a share of what they think is rightfully theirs in the budget," said Onsarigo.
"We had warned that the dialogue will not go far because they had shown all signs that they were gearing up to impeach executive members."
For the impeachment to sail through, Senate will constitute a committee that will investigate the allegations before recommending further actions.
