Women leaders from Matungulu sub-county, Machakos County have defended former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, from attack by some Wiper leaders.
The women led by Tala market chair-lady Ann Katile said it was absurd that some minor leaders in the party, were attacking Muthama one of the bonafide leaders at the party.
The women argued that Muthama is a senior member of Wiper, and therefore, if he makes any allegation Kalonzo, no one has the right to reply to him, a part from Kalonzo himself.
"We are shocked that some minor leaders from the Wiper party are attacking Muthama. Peter Mathuki who are you to take a jab at Muthama yet you came to Wiper the other day," said Katile.
Katile said Muthama built Wiper with Kalonzo from the beginning and cannot be dismissed easily.
"Mathuki and his people came to Wiper after it was fully built. He should be warned not to direct his insults towards Muthama or we will come for him," she said.
The women threatened to hold demos if a section of Wiper leaders continue attacking Muthama.
On Thursday, Wiper Party Secretary Peter Mathuki led a number of Ukambani leaders in castigating Muthama.
They dared Muthama to leave the party if he didn't feel satisfied by the decision of the party leader.
