Abdullahi said the law professor has been prophesying about the DP for so long, but noted none of his prophecies has ever come out to turn true.

"Prof has a long history of predictions that goes back decades on all matters DP Ruto...none...none...none...came close..." the lawyer said on Monday.

He was responding to a tweet in which Makau Mutua predicted that Ruto will eventually quit government without sending any warning, and catch his opponents off guard.

Makau Mutua claimed that the DP was only waiting for the right time to tender his resignation to President Uhuru Kenyatta, adding he will use his exit to fight his rivals and earn political mileage.

"I predict DP William Ruto will resign from government abruptly and without warning. Methinks he’s laid his plans. The timing will be a thunderbolt — to paralyze opponents and maximize his exit. Jipange! (Be alert)," Makau Mutua posted on Twitter.

A few months ago, the law scholar predicted that the DP will either withdraw his bid for the presidency or be forced to quit the race to State House.

"My crystal ball tells me that either William Ruto will tame his ambitions before 2022 or they be tamed for him. No one can willy nilly make himself President or Prime Minister. You can take that to the bank," he said.
