ODM leader on Wednesday visited the facility along with Antony Oluoch, Godfrey Osotsi and TJ Kajwang to check on Magaya's health progress.

Earlier, Mr Seth Odongo alias Dikembe Disembe had claimed that some top officials within ODM party had frustrated Magaya's attempt to get help from the ODM party.

"Some people were saying Mr Kawino (Finance Director) is the problem, or Charles Memba (Accountant); but I reject these insinuations. If the party leader made a pronouncement on Magaya, it is the ED to effect it. If not, that matter goes to the SG," he claimed.

But in a quick rejoinder, Magaya denied the claims, adding that both ODM and NASA have been instrumental in supporting Jos treatment at the hospital.

"I have had a recurrent heart condition for the past four months and been admitted in hospital on three occasions latest being last week .On all occasions both the coalition leadership and the @TheODMparty have stood with me," he said.

On Saturday, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna confirmed that the firebrand lawyer and Kenya Films and Classification Board member had been admitted at ICU in the Nairobi Hospital.

According to Sifuna, the move was a precautionary measure to stabilise him ahead of expected treatment out of the country in coming days.

"Mr Norman Magaya is currently admitted at The Nairobi Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit as a precautionary measure ahead of his evacuation abroad for comprehensive treatment.

"This follows ongoing management and follow up for a persistent ailment which first began in 2017. His most recent admission occurred on the evening of Wednesday, September 4th," he said.

Magaya suffered a heart attack early this year and has been in and out of the Nairobi Hospital for several months. He first collapsed in September 2017 at the Bomas of Kenya.

Months later, Jubilee MPs rejected NASA's attempt to have him nominated to EALA. He was one of the harshest critics of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
