A number of bars in the country have joined Kenyans in supporting 34-year-old marathoner, Eliud Kipchoge in the INEOS 1:59 challenge that is set to go down Saturday.
Some bars have reduced their beer prices to Sh159 in supporting Kipchoge who is in Vienna, Austria.
Some clubs across the country have already lowered their beer prices, including Blackyz Lounge, which has reduced the price from Sh300 to Sh159.
However, the price will be effective only when Eliud Kipchoge kick starts the race, that is, 7 am to 10 am.
Moran Lounge located along the Kiambu Road has also embraced the challenge and is set to reduce their beer prices starting from 10 am until noon on Saturday.
More so on the INEOS 1:59 challenge, Safaricom has promised to offer its subscribers free data bundles that will enable them to live-stream the race.
"Eliud159! The world will be watching, DON'T miss out! Dial 159 between 3 AM and 4 PM tomorrow & Get FREE 1590MB You Tube Bundle for streaming Live on YouTube," pops up a message when you dial *159#.
Safarcom also changed their M-Pesa logo in Kipchoge's honour.
"In the honour of this attempt, we will change the M-Pesa logo for the next seven days to show our loyalty to him and to wish him well. I hope all Kenyans will join Safaricom and wish him the best," said Michael Joseph during the launch of new logo.
