Chief Administrative Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Gender Rachael Shebesh has hit out at Kandara MP Alice Wahome for allegedly disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
In her response to last week's hard-hitting statement by the Kandara lawmaker directed at the President and the former Prime Minister, Shebesh told Wahome to "go slow" as she may need President Kenyatta and Raila in her future political life.
" To the likes of Alice Wahome and others, that 2022 is too far and that those people you are abusing, that is Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, could be the forces of William Ruto in 2022 because politics is a very long period away. So I ask you to respect the President and the former Prime Minister," said the former Nominated MP.
In her explosive press conference last week, Wahome accused the President of allegedly being a threat to Kenya's democracy amid claims by former Jubilee Party vice-chairperson that Uhuru would go for another political position after 2022 general election.
Raila was not spared either, as the lawmaker claimed that he is the President's "political mercenary for hire" in his future ambitions in politics.
Shebesh went ahead to say that despite the uncertainty in the political realm she will support the candidate fronted by Jubilee Party. At the moment she warned Kandara Mp to watch her words as they might be costly for her politically.
