Through door-to-door visits at various business premises across the six Sub-counties, the teams being led by officers from the Department of Finance and Economic Planning together with the Sub-county Administration, check the status of different permits and buildings as they encourage owners who had not renewed their licenses to do so soon in order to avoid attracting penalties and arrests.

Among permits that are being checked include Single Business Permit, hotel levies, liquor license, land rates, advertisements, billboards, health certificates, petrol stations and way leaves.

The County is targeting to raise local revenue in order to increase services to its residents and to ensure those that are ongoing are not disrupted.
