This comes only weeks after the official launch of the same book at the University of Nairobi in Nairobi, a function that was attended by a delegation of notable national figures.

In a tweet, the county boss said the second launch will be held at the Maseno University Kisumu campus, an event that will begin at 4:30 pm.

"Book launch at the lakeside. In collaboration with Maseno University. Friday, October 11, 2019 @4:30pm. Varsity Plaza, Kisumu City," he tweeted.

The first launch held about three weeks ago was presided over by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga at UoN's Manu Chandaria Hall.

The governor used the opportunity to add his voice to the heating debate regarding which between the current presidential and parliamentary system is the best for Kenya.

"I have always argued that an election is democratic when the winners celebrate their victory while the losers accept the results as legitimate," he said.

Other notable Kenyans present at the function included; Siaya Senator James Orengo, lawyer Gitobu Imanyara, Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, among others.
