The Northern Wanderers Football Club has received another boost following Mandera governor's move to support the team.
In a post on Facebook on Thursday, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale who is the club patron revealed that Governor Ali Roba had pledged to support the team in its quest to promote local talent.
"Our talent search for Northern Wanderers Football Club was well received in Mandera County. Governor Ali Roba's administration welcomed the team graciously and expressed his full commitment in making sure the youths are empowered through football so that they can reach their potential," said Duale.
While revealing more on the club's prime vision, Duale reiterated that Northern Wanderers FC will seek to promote peace and security by nurturing talents.
"When young people are provided with the necessary skills and opportunities, they can be a driving force for supporting development and contributing to peace and security. Football is a celebrated sport intimately connected to peace and security," he added.
This comes barely two days after Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi pledged his support and donated branded jerseys to the club.
